Marketing Manager plumbing or consumer electronics - Job Description
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This position will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and be responsible for co:creating and co:developing marketing strategies for Naviens product lines, in support of established revenue, profit and other goals. Familiarity with and experience in B2B sales and the plumbing and HVAC industry is required in order to effectively lead a team of five. Responsibility for a variety of tasks will include defining and implementing the product strategy in collaboration with the senior marketing manager, product managers and key sales team members, determining customer requirements, responsible for all trade show events and properties, writing blogs and articles about the products and working with internal and external partners to meet established goals.
The marketing manager will co:develop core positioning and messaging, as well as participate in the development of sales tools and collateral materials used to communicate with Naviens customers in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager and an outside agency. To effectively differentiate a product in the market, appropriate research of potential customer demographics, competitor offerings, and other market intelligence will be required. Travel to most trade shows and product show events is part of the responsibility of this position. Additional travel to job sites for video and case study promotion will be expected.
This position requires an experienced self:starter with excellent time management, leadership and communication skills.
Develop Market:Specific Promotional Collateral, Demonstrations, and Tutorials
Conduct market research and stay knowledgeable about industry trends
Work with cross:functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales, accounting and customer service
Development in a team environment our internal and external communications activity, including sales and marketing collateral, web content management, press releases, blogs, articles, case studies, presentations, and sales promotions.
Collaborative work with Digital Marketing Supervisor on website communications and all social media activities
Collaborative work with product development on current and future products and communication thereof
Collaborative work on design and implementation of product launches for all online/offline channels
Co:develop and implement product position messaging that differentiates Navien products in the market and clearly positions the company as a leader in the marketplace
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience with HVAC and plumbing industries
Must have 5+ years of B2B technical product marketing experience
An ability to understand, research, write and deliver summaries on a range of industry specific topics
Must demonstrate proven leadership experience and the ability to work well collaboratively
Experience working with an outside agency
An above average understanding of water heating markets, HVAC markets and channel marketing
